In an area liable to flood, on the S bank of and at a bend in the Owenmore River. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a embanked semicircular enclosure (dims. c. 20m NE-SW; c. 10m NW-SE) with the linear NW side defined by the river. It is not visible at ground level.
