What is recorded here

Indicated is a grassy rectangular hollow inside a Galway ringfort, likely an underground passage. It measures eleven metres long, three metres wide and two metres deep. Stones still line its base beside a mound of earth. The surrounding bank remains strong enough to suggest the fort still stands guard over the hole rather than the hole waiting for explanation.

On a S-facing slope. Well-preserved almost circular ringfort (D c. 38m) defined by a bank. Traces of inner and outer stone revetments are visible intermittently from N to ESE. Narrow gaps at ENE and ESE appear modern. Immediately inside the bank at SW is a grassy rectangular hollow (L 11m, Wth 3m), running NE-SW and averaging 2m in depth. It is flanked by a mound of earth and a number of stones are discernible at its base: a possible Man-made underground passage.
