Indicated

Known locally in the nineteenth century as an 'Ancient Fort' (OF031-040----) and a 'plantation' (OSFNB 1838-40, 30). This is the site of a landscape feature asssoicated with Lelagh House as described in the Ordance Survey Field Name Books and on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
