What is recorded here

Indicated is a fifty-seven-metre fairy fort crowning a Mayo hill, overlooking endless bog and pasture. Its earthen scarp still stands distinct on the north side, but the south has surrendered to grass and memory. A field bank now swallows the west edge, topped with wire and posts that cut through ancient stone. The centre rises slightly, as if breath still moves inside the ring.

In pasture, crowning the top of a hill with extensive views over a broad expanse of low-lying pasture and bog. Slightly raised, sub-circular area (diam. 57m N–S) defined by partly levelled remnants of a scarp. The scarp (H 1.3; Wth slope 8m) remains distinct NNW–NE, where it merges with the natural fall of ground, but at E–S it survives only as a slight rise. At SW–NW it is incorporated into a field bank (Wth 1m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.4m) topped with a post and wire fence. There is a slight rise in ground level in the centre of the interior.
