What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Kerry, Ireland. The local story treats the whole area as a place where the unseen still moves. People may have avoided it at night, not from proof but from the feeling that the border between worlds thins there. The earth itself becomes a character when imagination enters the facts.

In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. A circular area (24m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.05m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.65m) which is incorporated into the field boundary system S-N. There is a possible entrance (Wth c. 3m) at NE with two smaller gaps (Wth c. 2.2m) at ENE and E. The interior slopes down to the S. Two other raths (KE057-045----, KE057-046----) lie c. 80m to the NE and c. 250m to the E, respectively.
