What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen ringfort in West Cork, measuring fifty-one metres across and enclosed by a one-and-a-half-metre bank. A two-metre gap breaks the wall to the southwest, while a shallow depression marks the centre. The pasture slope faces north beneath higher ground, suggesting humans shaped this land long before modern roads arrived.

In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope, overlooked by higher ground to NW, N and NE. Circular, slightly raised area (51m N-S; 49m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.5m). Break in bank to SW (Wth 2m). Shallow depression (D 0.4m) inside and concentric with bank. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
