What is recorded here
In level pasture within a small field that appears to have been a cultivated garden in modern times. Circular slightly raised area (diam. 16m) defined by an internal low broad earthen bank (overall Wth 8.5m; Wth at top 3.5m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 4m) with an external shallow flat-bottomed fosse (overall Wth 3.6m; Wth at base 2m; D 0.1m). From NE-SSW the bank is low and irregular appearing to be disturbed in parts. A modern field boundary skirts the external face of the bank NW-NE with a NNE-WSW orientated field bank linking to the external face of the bank at N. The fosse is not visible NW-NE and is shallow and irregular elsewhere. A break (Wth 1.7m) in the internal bank at SSW possibly marks the position of the original entrance. The interior is level and clear of overgrowth.
