In pasture, on the crest of a ridge overlooking the valley of the Roughty River to the N. A trapezoidal area (26.5m E-W; 15m N-S at W; 10m N-S at E) enclosed by a scarp (max. H 3.6m). The entrance is at W where the scarp is lowest. A children's burial ground (KE093-027002-) is in the interior. The enclosure is overgrown with trees and undergrowth. Indicated as an embanked trapezoidal enclosure on the 1846 OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
