What is recorded here

On a slight rise of ground on poorly drained pasture with good views in all directions. Two-storey five-bay farmhouse of 19th-century appearance at possible location of a cluster of 17th-century houses, described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as 'two ruined thatcht house & ten Cabbyns' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 102). There are no visible remains of any house belonging to the 17th century visible in farmyard of Laffina House. The exact location of these houses is unknown.
