What is recorded here

On the N slopes of highland overlooking river valley, in rolling grassland. There are excellent views in all directions. A circular feature (diam. c. 43m) is indicated by a dashed line on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map but is not depicted on the 1946-7 revision. The enclosure is visible at ground level defined by a low bank (int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.2-0.4m except in S-SW sector where it is c. 1m).

Explorer Tom Ballyfoyle Castle has a bird that refuses to leave, likely because the rent is cheap. The Purcells built it, but Cromwell’s men took over later. It's the kind of place that makes a dull Tuesday interesting.

Explorer Tom Graveyard in Threecastles would spend its lotto win on a new fence because the current one is letting the cows in and they are very rude about the whole thing. It’s a nightmare for them. Have a chat with it, nobody's watching.
