Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knockadangan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a D-shaped grass-covered area towards the top of a south-facing hill slope. An earthen bank and outer bank survive along the east and south edges, while a field bank incorporates the inner edge to the west. Two other raths stand about eighty metres east and east-northeast of the site.
Towards the top of the S-facing slope of A hill. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 42m WNW-ESE; 35.3m NNE-SSW) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 2.7-5m; int. H 0.1-0.75m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5.8m; Wth of base 1m; D 0.35m) from an outer bank (Wth 2.5m; ext. H 0.35m), both of which only survive ENE-SSE. The inner bank is incorporated into a field bank WSW-NW, and the monument is truncated at N by a WNW-ESE field bank. The entrance (Wth 1.9m) defined by limestone boulders and the causeway (Wth 2m) are at SE. Rath (RO041-055003-) is c. 80m to the ENE, and rath (RO041-055002-) is c. 80m to the E.
