House, 19th century

What is recorded here

On the S-facing slopes of Cloroge More in the Blackstairs Mountain range, in rough upland terrain. A ruinous heavily overgrown house identified by Séamus Ó Murchú and visible on Bing satellite imagery (Ó Murchú 2016). This is not depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map but is indicated on the subsequent 6-inch ed. and 25-inch OS map, suggesting it was occupied post 1840. There are a number of small fields or haggards immediately E and SE of the house and these lie within a larger field system which post-dates 1840.
