What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Kilmocolmock, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a circular feature thirty metres wide on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and as a north-west to east arc on the 1915 edition. A fragment of stone spread and rectangular drystone walls remain on the overgrown knoll, while Cashel stands one hundred and ten metres to the south-east.

Marked as a circular feature (diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as an arc of hachures NW-E on the 1915 ed. Situated on an overgrown knoll in an undulating landscape. Only a fragment of a stone spread (Wth 1.5-2.5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1m) survives NNW-E with drystone walls delimiting a rectangular area (dims c. 20m E-W; c. 15m N-S) S of it .
