Located in a low-lying position, in a valley under pasture. The site has been partially levelled with surviving remains consisting of a raised platform (c. 26m N-S; 38m E-W) surrounded by a wide, shallow fosse which is still visible at S, W and N. A road runs parallel to the E side of the site and may have truncated it to some extent; this road is present on 1st and 2nd ed. OS 6-inch maps. At N the earth and stone bank survives (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.56m; ext. H 1.3m) with wet, external fosse (Wth 4.6m; D 0.85m) and counterscarp bank (Wth 3.2m; ext. H 0.32m).
