What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort on a low Mayo ridge, its shallow bank now topped by a wire fence that herds livestock around a forgotten centre. The earth tilts inward on one side and rises gently on the other, forming a room wide enough for a dozen people to stand beneath an open sky. Cattle wear its edge smooth while gorse holds what they cannot erase, suggesting the fort has outlived every boundary drawn across it.
In pasture, located on top of a low ridge, at the break of slope on the SE side. Good views, particularly extensive to S–SW and N. Another rath (MA092-003----) is located c. 150m to W along the spine of the same ridge. A slightly raised circular area (29.6m N–S; 29.5m E–W) defined NE–S by a scarp (H 1.8m; Wth slope 2m), and at SSW–NNE by a low bank (Wth 1.8m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.9m) which is adapted to serve as a field fence and is topped by a post and wire fence. The interior is level and grassy. The entrance may have been to NNE where there is a gap (Wth 2m) in the scarp. The perimeter is somewhat degraded by farm stock, and has a moderate covering of thorn bushes and gorse.
