In tillage c. 200m SW of early ecclesiastical enclosure (CO123-022001-); known as 'St. Brittain's Well'. Covered by slab, water piped from it. Now disused. (CMSS). St. Brittain's Well is associated with St. Brittain, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and was traditionally visited for its supposed healing properties, particularly for skin ailments and general well-being. The well's name and location near an early ecclesiastical site suggest a long-standing Christian and possibly pre-Christian tradition of water worship in the area.
