What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined cashel in North Galway, its stone wall collapsed into rubble across most of the circle while a field wall completes the rim. The surrounding houses and exposed ground suggest people lived beside or within this marker for generations. What the site marked, whether a boundary, a warning or a claim, has faded into the scrubland and memory.

On a SE-facing slope in scrubland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (D c. 25m) defined by a drystone wall reduced to a rubble spread from SW through N to E. A field wall forms the enclosing element elsewhere. A number of houses (GA056-078001-) are associated.
