On top of a hill with a commanding view in all directions overlooking rolling grassland. A trapezoidal-shaped graveyard (dims. c. 70m N-S; c. 60m E-W at N tapering to c. 30m at S). According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 277-8) the medieval church (KK008-010001-) was demolished in the mid-18th century and in c. 1830 a C. of I. church was built at the location. The graveyard has numerous 18th and 19th-century headstones. Carrigan (ibid.) noted a 16th-century graveslab (KK008-010003-) and a late 17-century headstone (KK008-010005-) within the graveyard. A portal dolmen; likely dating to the Neolithic period. Its elevated position suggests it had a significant ceremonial or communal role in the landscape.
