What is recorded here

Indicated is a small tree-covered crannog in Lough Oughter, County Cavan, sitting fifteen metres from the shore. Its slightly convex shape hints that a low cairn still lies beneath the bushes, marking the water rather than disappearing into it. The lake may have closed around the place, hiding the stones but leaving the island proud enough for people to see and remember.
