What is recorded here

Indicated is a small, low island in Lough Oughter, County Cavan, hiding just a hundred metres from the shore. It escaped the surveyors who drew the county twice because water and distance conspired against them. The lake kept its own secret, revealing the crannog only to those patient enough to look twice.
