What is recorded here

Indicated is a small circular island in Lough Oughter, close enough to the shore that a person could throw a stone across the water. Trees cover most of it, but a stone kerb still marks the edge where human hands shaped the crannog. It is the kind of place where privacy, fear and devotion could have been kept safe from ordinary sight.
