Indicated

In rough pasture, on a terrace on the W slopes of Knockbrack. A roughly circular area (16.5m E-W; 14.6m N-S) defined by a drystone wall (T 1m; H 0.3m) along the W, N and S arcs and topped by a stone field boundary (T 0.6m; H 1.5m). Along the W arc, the drystone wall gradually decreases in height to interior ground level at W. The interior is grass-covered, raised (H 1.6m) on the W side to compensate for the hillslope. A small roughly rectangular field indicated on the 1895 OS 6-inch map and visible in an aerial photograph (GSIAP, V 99/100) taken in 1973 abuts the NE arc of the cashel.
