What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Doughil, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope of Slive Bawn as a circular grass and rush-covered area thirty-six and a half metres across. A low scarp rises between sixty centimetres and one metre around the perimeter, while a triangular annexe measuring twenty metres on two sides attaches to the SE-SW edge. An outer drain runs N-ENE beside the site, though no visible fosse or original entrance remains.

At the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope of Slive Bawn. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 36.5m NE-W; 36.5m NW-SE) defined by a low scarp (H 0.6-1m) with a triangular enclosure or annexe (RO036-010002-) (dims 20m NE-SW; 20m NW-SE) defined by scarps (H 0.5-0.7m) attached to the perimeter SE-SW.
