Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

In average pasture, broken by rock outcropping, located on a low hill with good views. Ground falls towards a stream/drain c. 50m to N. Broadly oval slightly raised area (24m NW–SE; 28.5m) defined by a scarp (H 1m at NNE; 0.35m at S) incorporating stones. The scarp is well defined on the NE arc, but is lower and partly obscured by brambles on the SW arc. There is break/low area (Wth 6m) in the scarp at SE. The interior, which is crossed centrally by a field wall on a NW–SE axis, is level, with a slight dip in the SE quadrant. A bramble-covered stony rise at the base of a large tree stump, in the NW quadrant is a probably a field clearance heap. There is a similar stony heap at the base of a hawthorn tree in the S half of the interior. An enclosure (MA073-008----) is located on a hillock 170m to SW.
