What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Coggalkeenagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1915 OS 6-inch map marked it as a circular feature about forty-five metres across at the crest of a low east-west ridge. A 1965 description recorded a small bank half a metre high but no clear fosse, while the site is no longer visible at ground level in pasture.
Marked only on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular feature (diam. c. 45m), and situated at the crest of a low E-W ridge. Described in 1965 as an enclosure (diam. c. 45m) with a small bank (H c. 0.5m) and no clear evidence of a fosse (SMR file). It is not now visible at ground level in pasture.
