What is recorded here

Indicated is a sub-circular fairy fort atop a Limerick hill, its earthen bank still standing one and a half metres high despite centuries of pasture traffic. The southeast section has been quarried out, suggesting humans took stone from the fairy wall for practical use while the rest remained untouched. The gentle eastward slope and shallow southern ditch hint at a place where the boundary between human necessity and fairy ownership became negotiable rather than absolute.

In pasture, atop hill. Sub-circular area (24.1m N-S; 25.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank, with external fosse (D 0.3m; Wth 0.75m) S->NW. Bank (int. H 1.6m; ext. H 1.2m), best preserved S->N, dips at E (Wth 2.7m), and is partially quarried-out at SE. Interior, under pasture, slopes gently down to E.
