Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland. The earthy ring holds a modern burial ground, blending human memory with older legend. Its simple bank and narrow gate invite wonder about who entered, when, and what they left behind.
In level pasture. Circular area (33m N-S; 36m E-W), enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.7m), with external fosse to E (D 0.4m). Entrance on SE (Wth 1.4m) marked by modern gate. Interior contains modern burial ground (MA109-017002-). Stone field fence encloses the site. The above description has been derived from D.
