Fragmentary ivy-clad remains of tower on slight rise, on island. SE angle survives to 1st-floor level, with a mound of rubble (7.2m N-S; 4.5m E-W) at its base. Small window in ground floor of S wall with corbels overhead on E and S walls. Castle of MacTybbot Burke in 1574, then known as Castlecally (Knox 1908, The above description has been derived from D.
