On a SW-facing slope overlooking Lough Ree. Indicated as a large sub-circular tree-covered enclosure on the 1837 editon of the OS 6-inch map. It consists of a subcircular area (max. dim. c. 92m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.2m; H 0.2-0.5m) with an external fosse (Wth 1.8m; D 0.2-0.4m). No entrance is recognisable and the monument it is overgrown with vegetation. Similar in size to another enclosure to the SE (LF021-034----) these monuments, in all probability, are designed landscape features. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 August 2011
