What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartron (frenchpark By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight rise in an undulating landscape and measures about twenty-four metres across. An earthen bank surrounds a grass-covered centre, while a field bank cuts through the interior from northwest to southeast. A barrow stands one hundred and twenty metres to the southeast.
On a very slight rise in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 24m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.2m at S to 5.7m at W; int. H 0.2m at N to 1.05m at E; ext. H 1.5-1.7m). There is no visibile fosse or entrance, and a NW-SE field bank bisects the interior. Barrow (RO016-027----) is c. 120m to the SE.
