What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken circular enclosure beside a Mayo farmyard, large enough to hold a dozen people spinning or a small herd sheltering from winter rain. Its western arc still curves through the grass, while the eastern half disappeared under later buildings. The land remembers shape even when people stop naming it, and the farmyard stands inside the old circle like a room built around a forgotten hearth.

Located at the edge of a pasture field, immediately adjacent to a farmyard. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 25-30m), abutted at E by two buildings, is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; on the 1916 edition it is indicated only as a S−NW curve in a boundary wall adjacent to a farmstead. A slight semicircular undulation, curving S–W and coinciding with a natural contour, preserves the western arc of the enclosure.
