Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowkeel (roscommon By., Elphin Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low rise on an east-west ridge and contains a D-shaped grass-covered area measuring about 27.5 metres north-south and 20 metres east-west. A gapped earthen bank surrounds three sides, while a narrow outer fosse marks the north and northeast edge. A separate rectangular enclosure joins the southeast, though both features are cut by modern field and road banks.
On a low rise of a low E-W ridge. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims c. 27.5m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by a gapped and overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.8-4m; int. H 0.5-0.7m; ext. H 0.7-1.2m) NNW-E-SSE, with an outer fosse (Wth of base 3.3m; D 0.2m) N-NE. The site is truncated by a N-S field bank at W, and an E-W road bank at S. A rectangular grass-covered enclosure or annexe (RO017-122002-) (int. dims 24m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4-4m; int. H 0.3-0.5m; ext. H 0.7-1m) at N and E is attached to the SE, but it is cut by the road bank at S. Rath (RO017-121----) is c. 190m to the NW.
