What is recorded here
Situated towards the bottom of a NE-facing slope of Cam Hill with Cam church (RO048-099001-) c. 350m to the SW. This well is locally thought to be the original holy well of Cam parish before Brideswell (RO048-108001-), which is c. 3 km to the E, was established. It is not visible at ground level, and there is no evidence that it was ever a holy well. Archaeological testing (04E1521) c. 100m to SSW in failed to produce any related material (Rooney 2007a).
