What is recorded here

Indicated is a large oval fairy fort in County Cavan, Ireland, measuring eighty by fifty metres inside a low earthen bank now divided by a field boundary. The larger eastern portion has been levelled and the original entrance has vanished, leaving behind a broad shallow dish rather than a proud ring. It is the kind of place where human ambition and fairy cunning become hard to tell apart, a forgotten chamber waiting for someone stubborn enough to stop and look.

Marked on all OS eds. Large oval area (int.dims. c. 80m NNW-SSE; c. 50m ENE-WSW)enclosed by a much-denuded low earthen bank. The site is divided into two unequal portions by a field boundary running NNW-SSW. The larger portion,ENE of the boundary, has been levelled. Original entrance not recognisable.
