What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a gentle SSE-facing slope. A ringfort (TS063-038----) in located c. 50m to the NW. The remains of sub-circular area (dims. 44m NNW-SSE; 38m ENE-WSW) are defined by levelled scarp (Wth 1.8m; H 0.15m) and a backfilled fosse (basal Wth 2.75m; overall Wth 5.75m; D 0.1m) in the N quadrant. The bank is possibly incorporated into a field boundary NW-N-NNE. The monument is incorporated into the field as pasture. A field boundary running ENE-WSW from the SW quadrant has been removed. There is an irregular-shaped depression within the interior, off-centre to N, which may have been caused by an uprooted tree. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
