In quarry. Remains of random-rubble front wall (S) retains earthen core, earthen fill slipped around front of kiln. Arched recess (H c. 1.3m; Wth 2.35m; D c. 2.5m), with overlapping stones to rear, filled with collapsed material from core. Rear overgrown, circular depression on top indicates position of funnel. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
