What is recorded here

Under dense hazel scrub and apparently partially overlying the outer enclosing line of the large bivallate cashel ‘Cahermore’ (CL005-094002-), and immediately NW of a second, smaller cashel (CL005-095004-). An enclosure recorded by Westropp (1901, 284) as a ‘moher… 117 feet (35.7m) across with walls 6 feet (1.8m) thick… nearly levelled since 1895.’ The first edition (1842) of the OS 6-inch map records a square enclosure/field (L c. 32m; Wth c. 32m) A poorly preserved rectangular enclosure (c. 40m NE-SW; 34m NW-SE), the SW-side of which forms part of the townland boundary with Gragan East.
