
What is recorded here
On a gentle E-facing slope with the SW-NE Scramoge river c. 50m to the SE. Oval overgrown area (dims 50m E-W; 40m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth of base 7.3m; Wth of top 2.3m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.4m) W-NNW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.1m) NNW-ENE, and incorporated into a field bank elsewhere. There is no visible fosse, although there is an outer drain W-NNW and a drain inside the bank at E. There is a modern entrance (Wth 2m) at SW. Rath (RO029-101----) is c. 210m to the N.
