Just off the crest of the S end of a low N-S ridge on a gentle SW-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 32m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by an overgrown flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 3.8-4.3m; Wth of top 2-2.4m; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext. H 0.9-1.7m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.9m) SW-NW, and a fosse (Wth of top 4.4-5m; Wth of base 2.6-3m; D 0.5-0.6m), which is re-cut as a drain and circumscribed by a field bank SW-NW. There is a widened entrance (Wth 4m) and causeway (Wth 4m) at N. Rath (RO029-123----) is c. 200m to the SSE.
