On a broad E-W ridge or shelf. Rectangular grass and rush-covered area (dims 38m NW-SE; 31.7m NE-SW) defined by fosses or moats (Wth 3-4m; D 0.1-0.2m) on all sides except the SW where there is an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.9m) with internal and external drains. Moated site (RO021-035----) is c. 80m to the ENE.
