Ina Boyle was born in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, on 8 March 1889, and died in Greystones, County Wicklow, on 10 March 1967. She composed choral, chamber, orchestral, opera, ballet and vocal music, including The Magic Harp, Colin Clout, Gaelic Hymns, Glencree and Wildgeese. She studied with Samuel Myerscough, Charles Wood, Percy Buck, Charles Herbert Kitson, George Hewson and Ralph Vaughan Williams, and performed through a group with Elisabeth Lutyens, Elizabeth Maconchy and Grace Williams. Arthur Duff organised an orchestral concert devoted to her music in 1944.
