What is recorded here
Rossmackowen Commons holds a circular hut six metres wide, built from two rows of upright slabs on an east-facing slope above cutaway bog. The stones still stand along the south-west arc while a narrow gap at the south-east suggests where someone once stepped inside. A cairn watches from twenty-five metres away, marking the smallest possible neighbour in a landscape that has forgotten every name except the shape of the wall.
In rough hill pasture, in an area of cutaway bog on an E-facing slope and within a network of pre-bog field boundaries (CO115-106004-). The remains of a circular hut site (6.4m E-W; 6m N-S) defined by traces of an inner and outer row of contiguous upright slabs (T 1.1m; H 0.1-0.85m) with a sod-covered infill of smaller stones and earth. The enclosing element is best preserved along the SW-NE arc. A break (Wth 0.8m) at the SE may indicate the entrance location. A cairn (CO115-106008-) is c. 25m to the NE.
