What is recorded here
Caherbaun/An Chathair Bhán: Roughly circular cashel KE036-034---- is situated on a N facing slope near the foot of the mountain ridge overlooking Tralee Bay.
The Co. Kerry Field Club noted the foundations of a large circular hut (KE036-034001-) in the interior. This was about 12 feet (c. 3.6m) in diameter and there were 'indications of Man-made underground passages' within it.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 565. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
