What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on a NE-SW terrace on the NW-facing slopes of Gouladane overlooking Bantry Bay. The remains of a circular hut site (3.8m E-W; 3.5m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.4m). A break along the NE arc may indicate the entrance location. Rubble is scattered in the interior and ferns obscure the entire hut site. Another hut site (CO130-046002-) abuts this hut site externally at the E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
