Drumgolat holds a rectangular mound eight metres long and seven wide, barely thirty centimetres high, yet deep enough to hide an underground passage through its north edge. The hut site sits north of the rath centre, small enough to overlook but sharp enough to mark the boundary between ordinary field and forgotten depth. McCormick recorded the shape in 1978, preserving a place where human hands built darkness beneath a modest ridge of earth.
Located N of the centre of rath (MO010-014001-). It is described by McCormick (1978, 326) a rectangular mound (dims c. 8m N-S; c. 7m E-W; H 0.3m) with the entrance to Man-made underground passage (MOP010-014002-) inside its N edge.
