Hut site in Derrynafinnia

In rough, heather-clad hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Clydagh River. The remains of a roughly square hut (2m E-W; 1.7m N-S) defined by a partially heather-covered, collapsed drystone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.7m). The hut is best preserved at the base of the N wall where stone slabs are laid horizontally. A break at E may indicate an entrance. The N portion of the interior is cut (D 0.6m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. Some rubble is scattered in the interior and on the downslope to the S.
