What is recorded here

Nine metres of grass and edge stones mark a forgotten dwelling on the Cregg ridge, tucked beside a larger rath. Someone built a small roofed life there, perhaps watching the valley or escaping the crowd. The earth kept the shape long after the timber rotted, proving that even modest homes demand recognition.

Located towards the S end of a NNW-SSE ridge and just SW of the centre of rath (ME003-014----). This is a grass-covered platform (diam. 9m; H 0.35m) with stones at its edge. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 3 September 2018
