Hut site in Coolcoulaghta

In rough fern-covered hill pasture, on an E-facing slope in an E-W hollow to the NE of the summit of Mount Corin. The remains of an oval hut site (4m N-S; 2.8m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.45m), the stones of which are scattered along the perimeter and are largely obscured by ferns. There is a hut site (CO130-056003-) 2m to the S and another hut site (CO130-056001-) is c. 20m to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
