Hut site in Cashelkeelty

In rough hill pasture, on the E-facing slope of Knocknaveacal. The remains of a rectangular hut site (4.5m E-W; 2.35m N-S) defined by the lower courses of a clay-mortared, uncoursed rubble stone wall (T c. 0.7m; H 0.6m) at the N, S and E sides and by the vertical face of outcropping rock at W. A boulder abutting the outcropping rock forms the W end of the N wall. This boulder also forms the W side of an entrance (Wth 0.65m) in the N wall. The upper parts of the walls are mainly grass covered. Rubble from the collapsed upper courses is strewn along the perimeter.
