Hut site in Cappagh (glanarought By.)

In rough hill pasture, on a SW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. The remains of a circular hut site (2.7m N-S; 2.6m E-W) defined by a drystone wall (H 1.1m) with an entrance (Wth 0.7m) at ESE. A relict field boundary (KE093-054003-) abuts the hut site immediately S of the entrance and extends to the E. This hut site abuts the external face of the wall of an enclosure (KE093-054----) at E. A second hut site (KE093-054001-), immediately to the W, abuts the enclosure wall internally. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
